Services

Eve’s speaking and teaching presentations are unique both in being tailored to the needs of seminar/conference sponsors and being offered solely under her instruction. Courses and presentation materials are continually updated and reflect the instructor’s extensive law-practice experience in assisting exempt organizations with both their reporting obligations and tax-exemption qualification mandates. CPA societies and similar professional organizations will find more detailed information on Borenstein’s 2011-2012 Exempt Organization Tax (CPE) Courses by following the links on the course titles below. Parties seeking presentations should note that these are individually tailored for the audience (past examples may be found in the listing of Presentations/Workshops within Eve’s Professional Vitae). Rates are based on type of sponsor (e.g., nonprofit association versus professional CPE-credit provider) and travel time. A recurring comment on participant evaluations is: Ms. Borenstein took what could have been a dry topic and made it interesting, actually, even fun!  Please feel free to contact us for more information or for references.

Flagship Exempt Organization Tax Courses

Eve has been the developer/instructor of courses that have evolved, over the last 15 years, into three distinct subject matter all day (8 CPE) offerings.  Since 1998, these courses have been updated annually and offered under the following titles:

[Where did the “old” CPE courses go?  The above two courses replaced Planning Primer for Form 990 (EOPP), sunset in 2008-2009 in favor of two planning-for-the-Redesigned-990 preparation classes: Redesigned Form 990 (NEW990); and a course on 990 responsibilities/demands overall: 990 Basics for Nonprofits and Their Advisors (alternatively titled: 990’s for Real People)]
In addition to the above all-day CPE Form 990 “preparation” classes, Eve expanded her teaching on the Form 990 to both professionals AND to the sector directly in both 2008 and 2009, adding a “Redesign”-specific half day course, 990’s DO Matter!, which then spawned the completely-new for 2010 and 2011 ~three hour session titled 990’s for Non-Preparers.  That presentation (and its progeny, such as Get the Most Out of the IRS Form 990) is a fun, fast-paced tour of Form 990-land aimed at those who are responsible for presenting their own 990 or reading another’s.  Please contact us if you would like a description of 990’s for Non-Preparers.  The Events page has the most current list of all upcoming courses (with course descriptions) and may be accessed by clicking: here
