Eve’s speaking and teaching presentations are unique both in being tailored to the needs of seminar/conference sponsors and being offered solely under her instruction. Courses are continually updated and reflect Ms. Borenstein’s extensive experience in assisting exempt organizations in meeting their reporting obligations and tax-exemption qualification mandates. CPA societies and similar professional organizations will find more detailed information on Borenstein’s 2010 Exempt Organization Tax (CPE) Courses by following the links on the course titles below. Parties seeking presentations should note that these are individually tailored for the audience (past examples may be found in the listing of Presentations/Workshops within Eve’s Professional Vitae). Rates are based on type of sponsor (e.g., nonprofit association versus professional CPE-credit provider) and travel time. A recurring comment on participant evaluations is: Ms. Borenstein took what could have been a dry topic and made it interesting, actually, even fun! Flagship Exempt Organization Tax Courses and (as of fall 2009) WEBINARS
Eve has been the developer/instructor of courses that have evolved, over the last 13 years, into three distinct subject matter all day (8 CPE) offerings. Since 1998, these courses have been updated annually and offered under the following titles:
In 2009, Ms. Borenstein completely revamped her 990 teaching, introducing two new full day courses— a preparation class: Redesigned Form 990 (NEW990) and a course on 990 responsibilities/demands overall: 990 Basics for Nonprofits and Their Advisors / alternatively titled: 990’s for Real People (990FOCUS)
For 2010, rewriting of the Form 990 preparation course has lead to (in appreciation of now two years of Redesigned Form 990 realities) TWO separate preparation classes—
And finally, Eve’s teaching to both professionals AND to the sector directly (for example, under the sponsorship of community foundations) will again come together in 2010 via a blending of the prior year’s 990’s for Real People all day course with the with “Redesign”-specific half day course, 990’s DO Matter! The result, the completely new-for-2010 half-day course, 990’s for Non-Preparers, is a fun, fast-paced tour of 990 for anyone responsible for presenting their own 990 or reading another’s—
